1. Why should I hire Clean & Green instead of an individual cleaner?

There are actually a number of important reasons why hiring a service such as Clean & Green is preferable to hiring most individual cleaners:

  • You don’t have to do the hiring, background check, time-keeping, payroll, etc.  Clean & Green handles all of these tasks as part of its day to dayoperations.
  • You don’t have to worry about reporting and paying social security and employer taxes, or withholding and remitting employee taxes.  If you don’t do all of this with an individual, you may be violating the law.
  • You don’t have to build and maintain a boss-employee relationship with our cleaning technicians. You can deal directly with the owners and managers of our company and receive the consistent respect and courtesy you deserve as a client.
  • Clean & Green is insured and bonded; individuals typically are not.
  • Clean & Green carries workers compensation insurance, reducing your liability for injuries.  Individuals usually don’t maintain these types of coverage.
  • Clean & Green has a fully-trained staff, so there’s always a back-up in the event that your regular cleaning technician is unavailable. This isn’t the case with an individual.

2.  Am I liable for taxes or workers’ compensation when Clean & Green cleans my home?

No, Clean & Green pays all necessary local, state, federal and Social Security taxes.  We also pay workers’ compensation.

3.  Do I have to be there when a Clean & Green cleaning tech or team comes to my house / office?

No, in fact, most customers are not there when the cleaning team arrives.  For recurring services, Clean & Green requests a copy of your key, which is stored securely in our office.  If you decide not to provide a key and we are unable to access your property for a scheduled cleaning, you will incur a lock-out charge. The lock-out charge is currently $50.00.

4.  What if something in my home is damaged or broken during a cleaning?

We do our best to handle your things with the most care; however, sometimes accidents happen.  Should damage or breakage occur while we are cleaning your home, we will make every effort to repair the item or replace the item should repair not be possible.  Insurance claims will be filed when appropriate. 

5.  Should I provide cleaning supplies or equipment?

For your convenience, Clean & Green provides all equipment and supplies necessary to clean your property.  We proudly use eco-friendly cleaning products and equipment. That said, if there’s a specific product of yours you would like us to use – just let us know!

6.  What should I do if I need to change the date of a scheduled cleaning?

Please just call us 48 hours in advance and we will happily reschedule for you. If you do not provide us with 48 hours notice, you will incur a cancellation charge. The cancellation charge is currently $50.00.

7.  Are your services guaranteed?

Yes, we offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. In delivering our services we strive to maintain the highest quality and provide the greatest value. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your Clean & Green experience, simply contact us within 24 hours of your cleaning and let us know where we went wrong. We’ll come back at your convenience and re-clean any deficiencies free of charge. We do not currently offer a money-back guarantee.

8.  Who do you send to clean my home?

Clean & Green cleaning technicians are employees of our company. We do not utilize independent contractors. Our hiring process is very lengthy and detailed. We scrutinize each candidate and select for the interview process only those eligible to work in the United States and possessing the requisite skills, experience, and references. We speak with multiple references, verify all application information and perform motor vehicle and criminal background checks prior to hiring.

9. Can I hire one of your maids directly to perform cleaning or any other services?

We invest significant resources recruiting, hiring, and training our employees in order to consistently provide the highest quality service to our clients. Our employees have entered into non-compete agreements which prohibit them from, among other things, providing services to our clients outside the scope of their employment with us. Should you wish to hire a current or previous Clean & Green employee for any home-related / office-related service outside of your relationship with our company, we charge a referral fee of $3,500. This fee is due within thirty days of notification from Clean & Green. We ask that you refrain from soliciting our employees directly – please contact us should you wish to discuss such an arrangement.
